The formation and training in therapeutic competences is essential to improve the outcomes of psychotherapy. The formation and Training Program in Psychotherapy is one of the forms of training available to the Faculty of Psychology of the National University of Mar del Plata (UNMdP). Among its goals it is proposed: to offer a space for theoretical formation and psychotherapy training free, to provide unpaid psychotherapeutic care to people with their rights violated, as well as a consultation service for psychological problems that exceed the psychotherapeutic device and to carry out supervisory tasks for graduates, program students. In this device, a follow-up of all the patients to whom care is provided and another of the development of each of the professionals in training. The program is articulated with the research project "Psychotherapy and Clinical Supervision: skills, therapeutic competencies and treatment outcomes", from the same University, which is in charge of making all the evaluations of the patients and the psychotherapists. The objective of this work is to theoretically support the program and present its development.
