“El nou mil.leni i la vella calavera” (El nuevo milenio y la vieja calavera) : exposición de Josep Guinovart en el Espai Guinovart de Agramunt (Lleida)

Josep Guinovart es un pintor muy conocido, nacido en Barcelona en 1927. Se refugió en Agramunt, un pequeño pueblo en el campo, durante la Guerra Civil Española. Desde entonces, siempre se ha sentido vinculado a ese pueblo, donde tiene una galería de exposiciones llamada Espai Guinovart. Es aquí donde se ha exhibido la última producción de este artista, entre el otoño de 1999 y la primavera de 2000. Se trata de obras manifiesto, testimonio y protesta contra el vertedero de residuos tóxicos que se quiere instalar, contra la opinión de la gente, en un lugar conocido como el Bosc del Sisear, cerca de Agramunt, donde Guinovart vivió una parte muy importante de su infancia. Josep Guinovart is a well-known painter, born in Barcelona in 1927.
He took refuge in Agramunt, a little town in the country, during he Civil Spanish War. Since then, he has always been linked to this town, and he owns there an exhibition gallery called Espai Guinovart. The last production of this artist has been exhibited there, between the fall of 1999 and the spring of 2000. They are manifestó, testimony and protest paintings against the dump toxic waste, which they want to build, against the town people opinión, in a place known as the Sisear Forest, near Agramunt. It is there, in this place, where Guinovart lived a very important part of his childhood.
