Abstract

Desde hace pocos años y a la luz de las últimas investigaciones se cuestiona la idea, admitida tradicionalmente, de que, desde el punto de vista de las manifestaciones artísticas, Extremadura haya sido un área marginal, un apéndice entre Castilla y Andalucía, en donde hacían sus incursiones artísticas los maestros de los focos castellanos (Valladolid, Salamanca, Madrid, Toledo, etc.) y andaluces (fundamentalmente el sevillano).
