Abstract

The Rubén Dario’s line “hace sonar un ruiseñor en lo invisible” is, in all the Spanish language metrics books, the example of the alejandrino ternario (a thirteen syllables alexandrine in three-segments); it forms a distich, the next line has not been properly studied. In this paper Paredes analyses several metrical peculiarities within the poem “Mima; elegía pagana”. He also communicates here biographical information concerning the dancer at the origin of such a rare poem and on the French sculptor also mentioned.
