A cane to lean on: a story about overcoming a dependency relationship

A case of dependency in a couple relationships presenting at the same time hypochondriac comorbility and claustrophobia is displayed in this article. The case is analyzed in its developmental and structural context. There is also a description of the steps in the process of therapy independency leading to the marriage separation in which it ends.
