Methamphetamine use has increased in recent years, generating multiple consequences. In Mexico, residential treatment is the main pathway for addressing this issue, highlighting the urgent need for specialized strategies. Although there are guidelines for other substances, no specific program has been developed that systematically incorporates the voices of users and frontline personnel. The recurrence of admissions reflects the limitations of current approaches. A mixed exploratory-descriptive study was conducted to assess the relevance of the Crystal Methamphetamine Use Intervention Program (PIMEC). In the first phase, an expert review was carried out with four specialists, and focus groups were conducted with users undergoing treatment. In the second phase, the revised version was presented to staff from centers certified by CONASAMA. Aiken’s V was used for quantitative analysis and thematic analysis for qualitative data. Most components scored V > 0.7. Users described the program as useful and comprehensive, suggesting simplifying the language; center staff confirmed its relevance and recommended strengthening socioemotional skills and including a crisis plan. PIMEC was validated and refined through a mixed-methods process, resulting in a context-specific tool for residential treatment centers.
