Combinación de psico y farmacoterapia en los trastornos depresivos.

Presentamos en este trabajo una revisión del modelo de combinación de psicofármacos y psicoterapia en general y aplicado especificamente a la depresion, asumiendo las recomendaciones de los grupos más importantes a nivel internacional sobre este tema. Hacemos una breve revisión de la psicoterapia como tratamiento utilizado en los trastornos mentales y como destreza adquirible, haciendo un análisis más detallado de la efectividad de los tratamientos combinados con psicofarmacos, buscando en ello la complementariedad, y dejando atras las actitudes basadas en la confrontación que han resultado inútiles y estériles. Terminamos con la conclusión de que si en algunos casos parece que está demostrada la superioridad de los tratamientos combinados, en otros no parece quedar esto claro, pero desde luego lo que sí cabe decir, es que la combinación de psicofarmacos y psicoterapia, a priori, no es negativa.
