The aim is to show the supervision of the home care and support team (Pades) inserted in the Spanish state health care network, which professionals comprise it and their functions, as well as the population for which it is intended: the terminally ill. The suitability of supervision is justified as a task of training, emotional support and conflict resolution. It describes what the supervision consists of, its protagonists, the formulation of the demand by the team, the supervisor's response to the demand, the realization of the supervision, its possibilities, its conditions and its limits, as well as the conditions of its ending. It is concluded that supervision, like the life of Pades users, has two deadlines between which it begins and ends. Once supervision is finished, the quality of its development will condition the mourning process that will pass between gratitude and resentment.
