Abstract

Family Reunification Therapies are recommended families treatment indicates for those families that want their children to return alter having been moved away because of abuse suspicion or evidence. Such therapies are more o less mandatory depending on the case. The relationship between the famiy and protection services is usually problematic and such relationship affects the therapist, who is seen as an extensión of that services. In this context, and given the fact that therapy is a requirement, but not enough for a child return’s because professionals wil remain presente in the family life, the therapeutic process cannot be limited to deal with the adjustment of parent-child relationships. Hence, the therapist must incluye in her/his focus the improvement of the relationship between the family and professional, as well as relationship between professionals. Based on the so called Narrative Thematic model analysed in this text, an intervention guide is developed. It tries to keep in mind the complexity of these problematic and multi-assisted cases, andi t is ilustrated with a clinical example.
