Abstract

Probably one of the things that most worried the Catholic Church representatives gathered for the Ecumenical Council of Trent (1545-1563), was to define canonically the sacrament of penance and noted the importance of the act of confession, which is one of the objectives of this work as a means to obtain forgiveness of sins.
