Abstract

Born in the exceptional conjunction of modern lifestyle of Madrid at the beginning of the 20th century, Concha Méndez, a poet, editor and playwright from the Silver Age of Spanish culture, also has the merit for having been a pioneer in her participation in the seventh art. In recent decades, her poetic and theatrical career has emerged from the shadows of anonymity, but her facet as a writer of cinematographic scripts, despite constituting an essential component in her development as a woman artist of her time, still presents multiple gaps. This article reconstructs her cinematographic adventure and reveals all her works for the big screen.
