Abstract

Criminology is an autonomous, empirical and interdisciplinary science. It has not been a peaceful discussion over its content and, much less, over its nomenclature. In this article we will try to define the content and the relationship of this social science with the field of experimental sciences. Likewise, the relationship of this with other basic sciences of the criminal phenomenon such as Criminal Law and Criminal Policy will also be observed. In addition, it will be indicated which disciplines make up criminological science together with the fact of being able to apply the systemic thesis from theoretical and quantum physics to Criminology that will help to understand why in reference to the etiology of crime.
