Abstract

El estudio y análisis de la «distribución» en su «concepto» nos lleva a profundizar sobre los distintos significados y contenidos que se han ido produciendo a través del tiempo y, sobre todo, lo que ello significa para la arquitectura. Hemos creído conveniente analizar —de una forma somera— únicamente aquellos tratados en donde hemos detectado cómo la distribución no sólo es importante en cuanto que forma parte de la arquitectura, sino que adquiere valor de autonomía en el discurso arquitectónico, a través del cual comprenderemos los cambios de significado. Es decir, veremos la evolución semántica que el término distribución experimenta a lo largo de este período, llegando a significar a fines del siglo xviii el concepto que dicho término tiene en la actualidad.
