Los frescos góticos lineales de la iglesia de Sant Valentí de les Cabanyes (Barcelona)

Abstract

La pequeña iglesia de Sant Valenti se halla en el término municipal de Les Cabanyes, muy cerca de Vilafranca del Penedes (Barcelona). El mal estado en que se encontraba el edificio requería una inmediata restauración, de la que se hizo cargo el Servicio de Patrimonio Arquitectónico de la Diputación de Barcelona. Siguiendo la norma de dicho Servicio, antes de la intervención arquitectónica se llevó a cabo una exhaustiva investigación histórica (dirigida por el doctor Alberto López Mullor) que comprendió una excavación arqueológica, un estudio documental y un análisis artístico. A nosotros nos correspondió el estudio de las pinturas murales que cubrían buena parte del templo.
