Abstract

El interés por la Alhambra de Granada ha conocido, desde la presencia de los Reyes Católicos en la ciudad, una fortuna desigual. Esa historia ha sido contada en innumerables ocasiones y desde distintas perspectivas. Las reformas iniciadas a finales del siglo xv y comienzos del siguiente, las nuevas construcciones, las opiniones de los viajeros, españoles y extranjeros, las valoraciones de la arquitectura islámica, los coleccionistas y, también, el abandono, el saqueo y las destrucciones, han acompañado la compleja historia de la fortaleza y de los palacios nazaries hasta nuestros días.
