Resumen

Tomando como exemplo as críticas de Alexandre Herculano às obras efectuadas na igreja de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, vulgarmente referida como Colegiada de Guimarães, este trabalfio procura analisar alguns dos pressupostos do discurso sobre o património e o restauro arquitectónicos corrente nos textos da imprensa romântica portuguesa da primeira metade do século XIX e a sua articulação com o contexto cultural para que remetem.
