La investigación de las primeras ocupaciones humanas en la región Cantábrica

Abstract

En el siguiente artículo se presenta una síntesis historiográfica de las investigaciones sobre el Paleolítico inferior de la Región Cantábrica. A modo de resumen se muestra la evolución de las investigaciones cantábricas sobre las primeras etapas paleolíticas, desde los inicios del siglo XX hasta e lmomento actual de la investigación. Un periodo de gran interés, pero frecuentemente supeditado en la Región Cantábrica al importante empuje de los estudios paleolíticos a partir de la riqueza de yacimientos del Paleolítico superior y de los conjuntos rupestres.

The following article presents a historiographical synthesis of research on the Lower Paleolithic of Cantabrian Spain. In summary shows the evolution of research on the early Cantabrian Palaeolithic, from the early twentieth century to the present research.
