This paper carries out a review of event management from the fundamentals of Project Management. Planning and organizing an event involve coordinating a series of resources, within a certain period, to achieve the key objectives. The event is, therefore, a project that has a certain duration, a limited time for its elaboration and execution, and needs the use of a team to carry out a set of activities that must be adjusted to a budget. Being considerate as a project, allows the event management to be studied from the project management fundamentals, to which this work makes an approach.
