El traslado del Gobierno de España al Palacio de la Moncloa en 1977 y la creación de las comunidades autónomas a raíz de la Constitución de 1978 fueron el inicio de las visitas oficiales de los presidentes autonómicos a la Moncloa para ser recibidos por el presidente de la nación.
Desde 1980 hasta la fecha, 2020, estos actos institucionales han ido evolucionando en su escenografía, sobre todo en la acción del recibimiento oficial por parte del presidente del Gobierno español.
La accesibilidad a la fototeca en abierto de la Moncloa posibilitó el análisis de los cambios producidos en la ordenación de las banderas oficiales situadas en los aledaños del acceso principal del inmueble que acogía la visita institucional. Ya fueran jefes de Estado o de Gobierno extranjeros como presidentes o alcaldes-presidentes autonómicos, la ordenación de las banderas ha sufrido adaptaciones en todas las legislaturas.

The transfer of the Government of Spain to the Palacio de la Moncloa in 1977 and the creation of the autonomous communities following the Constitution of 1978 were the beginning of the official visits of the regional presidents to the Moncloa to be received by the nation´s president.
From 1980 until now, 2020, these institutional acts have evolved in its staging, especially in the action of official reception by the President of the Spanish Government.
The accessibility to the photographic library of the Moncloa enabled the analysis of the changes in the ordering of the official flags located in the surroundings of the main access of the property that hosted the institutional visit. Whether they were foreign heads of state or government, or presidents or mayors autonomic presidents, flag management has undergone adaptations in all legislatures.
