Abstract

The possibility of adapting learning material in a personalised way for each learner opens the door to new pedagogic models, whose practical implementation would not be realistic without the proper technological support. The creation and deployment of this type of material can rely on the use of specific frameworks created for this purpose, or on the application of generic specifications given with the adequate expressiveness. IMS Learning Design proposes a framework for the design and deployment of educative workflows, supporting some of the existing techniques for adaptation. This article presents a compilation of experiences related to the creation and instantiation of adaptive strategies based on the use of IMS Learning Design, whose objective is the empiric determination of the specification
expressiveness in the field of adaptation of learning material.
