Psychotherapy with difficult patients: a cognitive-evolutionary integration.

Presently article is shown how to work with difficult considered patients –patient with to eating disorders, drugs consumers, with dysfunctions of the personality, etc.–, from a cognitive-evolutionary perspective. The model has the contributions of the evolutionary perspective of Vittorio Guidano, the attachment theory of Patricia’s Crittenden, the work with patient with dysfunctions of the personality of Semerari et al., and the contributions of Safran and Segal on the therapeutic relationship, among others. After presenting the epistemological foundations of this therapeutic perspective and the methodology of each model, a case will be presented with the whole organized available information in a strategic way to facilitate the intervention.
