The objective of this work was to design a model of psychotherapeutic intervention from the traditions of phenomenology and hermeneutics for the treatment of borderline personality disorder (BPD). To develop it, an extensive theoretical review was carried out on topics associated with phenomenology, clinical phenomenology, hermeneutics and borderline personality disorder, to finally establish a proposal that combines epistemological elements associated with phenomenology-hermeneutics, using as a basis the approaches of authors such as Alfried Längle, Paul Ricoeur, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Giampiero Arciero. The present work considers the need to evaluate the benefits associated with the implementation of this model in patients with BPD, also establishing a question associated with the definition of training elements with which a phenomenological-hermeneutical therapist should have.
