Abstract

The author deals with the problem of the psychotherapy ethics from the point of view of the epistemologies that guide psychotherapeutic acts. Considering the systemic epistemology evolution, which is also illustrated by a short clinical example, the author underlines that today it fosters the emerging of an “ethics of complexity”. This ethics, in psychotherapy field, promotes the increasing of the patient’s creativity and liberty and of his/her possibilities of choice; but also beyond the psychotherapy field, it fosters a culture of tolerance and of respect of differences.
