Art therapy and its contribution to verbal psychotherapies

The present article carries out an approach to the art therapy term with the purpose of understanding the fundamental principles of this young matter, both in the disciplinary field and the professional. In the first place, the existing relationship between the concepts Art and Therapy will be approached, highlighting the creativity as a nexus between both. Next, the art therapy concept is revised considering the differences that it presents against the mainly verbal psychotherapies.
