Abstract

In this book, Ellen Kennedy has made a great and inspiring contextualization of thought of Carl Schmitt. Through new materials has revealed some of the most important keys to the author’s thought and has exposed the reasons for Schmitt’s renaissance in the Anglo-Saxon cultural universe. The author places the constitutional texts in the context of the Weimar Republic as such texts were a chronicle of the trajectory of the German Republic since 1919. This contextualization allows her to move to our present the understanding of the problems of Weimar, experience that is still alive in the current historical live.
