Abstract

In this work a shallow wake-up call is made about Llull’s progressive attitude in the treatment of the female figure in the Llibre de Contemplació / Libro de Contemplación, to focus, below, with regard to the publication of the first edition in Spanish of the Book of Contemplation, in the analysis of the lexicon with which women are named in Catalan and Spanish: mare, fembra, dona, muller, filla, donzella; madre, hembra señora, dueña, mujer, esposa, doncella.
