Spanish criminological research does not seem to find sufficient or appropriate data in the different public databases in Spain to test its theories. In the case of sexual assaults committed by strangers to the victims, we have designed a database based on the pertinent judicial rules publicly provided by the Judicial Documentation Center of the General Council of the Judicial System (CENDOJ). Currently the database consists of 176 incidents and is available in its entirety for the researchers who require it, in order to encourage collaboration between the same. The first descriptive results and a preliminary typology elaborated from a Multidimensional Scaling analysis (MDS) are presented in this study.
