AbstractArticle aims to describe the origin and evolution towards the power of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice), current Polish governing party. Through consultation with the country’s literature and works of some of its protagonists, it is intended to give a descriptive analysis of their ideological configuration. Especially the link with the trade union Solidarity, the strong leadership of the twin brothers Kaczynski and the close relationship with the Catholic Church stresses. Aspects that help conclude considering the PiS as a populist organization catholic national speech, which makes it the main driver of Eurosceptic discourse in the EU.
