The Imperial Cult and the Divinity of the Emperor in Late Antiquity: Two Concepts in Discussion

The study of the Christian imperial image is complex because of its lack of definition and the varity of possible points of view. The present paper shows a row of general questions which raise the most conflictive points of the analysis of imperial cult and the veneration of imperial images, two concepts which determine the study of the imperial image.Downloads
