Abstract

We present one of the most important findings of the archaeological developments in 2007 on the site of the «Dehesa de Los Estantes», in the municipality of Malpartida de Cáceres: A tall granite stele with a triangular pediment containing the epitaph of a woman, dedicated to her by her husband, both of indigenous origin. In addition, the inscribed message is surrounded by a rich set of iconographic elements. The chronology proposed for this monumentum is the third century AD.
