Abstract

We present a synthesis from the existing data and results in some Asturian sites related, on one hand, with the chronology problems and taphonomical processes and, on the other hand, to the novelties in different matters around our Neanderthal ancestors. Additionally, we stand out the necessity to check thoroughly some important Cantabrian sites concerning the raw material types present in their lithic collections, to verify the reosive discordances / stratigraphic discontinuities and the evaluation of the interstratigraphic contaminations.
