The article presents a systematization of the study of value consciousness with emphasis on the generative dimension, as a contribution to the study of the sources of social normativity in Edmund Husserl's transcendental phenomenology. To this effect, it is argued that value consciousness, besides its intuitive moments of valiception, involves intentional horizons in which converge valuational habitualities and the influence of spiritual yields that are the result of intersubjective interaction and history. On the other hand, we maintain that phenomenology has not only a descriptive character but when it comes to the critique of the axiological dimension of meaning, it acquires a critical character. In this sense, we take up again some of the hypotheses put forward by Anthony Steinbock, especially in Home and Beyond, in order to take up his interpretation in relation to the theme of values in a generative key.
