The author proposes an essay in which self-esteem is described as a skill, an ability that can be trained and, in that way, the self-concept can be changed. To achieve this, she proposes a therapeutic itinerary focused in the process of the self-esteem restructuring and the accompaniment of the patient through the construction of a new self-concept. All this is done by a series of techniques described in the article. The therapeutic objective entails that the patient develops autonomy about his own assessment, achieving a strong self-concept, consistent not only with what one does, but also with what one is.Downloads
