Science fiction films as social narrative

This article explores the meaning of a film genre, science fiction, throughout its history, this influence of society in the films that occur within it manifests itself in two levels, «as a mirror of attitudes, trends and changes in society (social concerns), or as an expression of the collective psyche of a time (social psychological concerns)». In the case of the science fiction themed freedom allows emerge the «ghosts» of a society with impunity: allowing the genre of science fiction to the maximum proximity to primary processes and little secondary processing that allows to satisfy the defense mechanisms.
