Abstract

Tutors of Resilience is the title of the book written by Gema Puig Esteve and José Luis Rubio Raval, published in 2015 by the publisher Gedisa in Barcelona, Spain. In an original way, the book, divided in two, expresses in the first part, in a novel way, through an experiential, emotive and direct language, the reality around the tutor of resilience. In the second part, it gives us concrete theoretical elements that allow to deepen the foundations of resilience, the contexts in which it develops and the characteristics of resilience tutors. The resilience tutor not simple is, but is “there”, is the one who helps rebuild confidence, is invisible and unconditional, the latter affirmed with great insistence by the authors. There are several keys to be a good resilience tutor; however, even though the resilience tutor could be a very good one, the solution to the problem will always depend on the affected person, not on the tutor. Despite managing an unusual structure within a book of certain academic status, it provides the fundamental elements to understand what resilience is, its founding elements and the characteristics and types of the resilience tutor.
