Actualización y propuesta de Tratamiento de la Adicción a los Videojuegos en línea: el programa PIPATIC

Resumen

Resumen. En la actualidad, los servicios de psicología infantojuvenil registran un aumento de las consultas relacionadas con el uso problemático de los videojuegos en línea. Para ofrecer un tratamiento eficaz es necesario investigar sobre el abordaje psicoterapéutico de dicho problema. El objetivo de este estudio es presentar una actualización del tratamiento psicológico para la adicción a los videojuegos en línea. Además se describe el proceso de diseño de un tratamiento manualizado para adolescentes de 12 a 18 años: el programa PIPATIC. El diseño y la aplicación del programa PIPATIC integran varias áreas de intervención estructuradas en seis módulos: psicoeducativo, intervención estándar en adicciones conductuales, intrapersonal, interpersonal, familiar y creación de un nuevo estilo de vida. El objetivo del programa PIPATIC es una disminución  de los síntomas de la adicción a los videojuegos en línea y una mejoría en el bienestar de los adolescentes. Los hallazgos preliminares muestran unos efectos positivos y alentadores que, prospectivamente, invitan a continuar investigando en este campo.
