This document presents a review of the tasks that ANIEM has carried out in support of educational inclusiveness and focuses on a case study about inclusiveness in mathematics teaching based on a criterion of available resources and school infrastructure.
A basic concept of geometry was addressed: distance between two points from a practical situation in the real context of the student. The result was a course-workshop where, through a pedagogical and didactic approach, the teacher learned how to analyze with his students "the walk of an ant". The strategy consisted of integrating some geometric concepts with algorithmic operations and practices in tracing, all in a playful format. The instructional exercise leads the student to understand the concept of variation. Some of the objectives of the project were: to encourage imagination and intellectual curiosity through
playful activities, to experience didactic situations to trace a square where an ant should walk, to practice tracing figures and to establish different reference systems. The aspect of inclusiveness focuses on the process of teaching the same concept in different contexts (city, countryside, highlands, coast) and conditions (playground, paper, blackboard or computer), since the teaching of mathematics should not be limited by the tools available.
