In this paper I intend to explore various aspects involved in the practical conception of language. From a methodological point of view, we will argue in favor of the relevance of the ontogenetic and phylogenetic considerations; from the perspective of the speaker / performer, we will study the treatment of semantic and semiotic language problems. Thus, the impressions produced in the works of Bakhtin, Benjamin, Rosenzweig, Sartre and Wittgenstein are compared, valuing the mythical component and the critical component in their conceptions of language.
