Abstract

In this paper, it is analysed the possible transfer of motherhood model between mothers and daughters and the factors that may depend on this influence. It has carried out a qualitative research with women with children and their mothers. In the cases analysed, the hypothesis that the influence is positive it has been confirmed. However, this does not mean that the daughter always take the same direction taken by the mother. The direction that takes this influence is due mainly to two factors. On the one hand, to the contemporaneity of maternity strategy followed by the progenitor, and secondly, to the satisfaction of the experience in childhood daughters with the strategy followed by their mothers. For the daughters to follow a similar strategy of their mothers is necessary that this strategy had been successful for the child in its infancy and that socially and culturally was according to the thinking of the moment.
