Abstract

The purposes of this paper are: a) to determinate the differential efficacy of two therapeutic modalities: exposure in vivo only or combined with ‘applied-tension’, b) to know the degree of long-term improvement and, c) to establish the degree of synchrony in the triple system of response in a sample of blood phobia (aged, 15-30 years) (9 males and 30 females). The assessment was made at pretreatment, after treatment and at 1, 6 and 12 months of follow-up. The treatment was applied in group (3-4 persons each one) during 6 sessions, with a periodicity of 1 session for week and approximate length of 90 mn. per session. The results show, in the first place that there aren’t significant differences between the two therapeutic classes as much short as long-term. In the second place, the degree of improvement was sited about 80% in the three type of responses show synchrony in the response pattern, as much at the pretreatment as at 12 months of follow-up.
