Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the scientific output related to the approach of citizen science and the technique of crowdsourcing, using scientometric analysis for this purpose. The main international scientific journals that publish research incorporating participatory processes in their execution will be identified. In addition to recognising these journals, those that are exclusive and signifi-cant to our field of study will be classified. The analysis will focus on the fields of social sciences and humanities, with the aim of de-termining which journals are most relevant in these two areas and examining the citations of documents related to citizen science and crowdsourcing. Furthermore, it will explore how the humanities stand out, aligning with the rapid acceleration in the adoption and implementation of this methodology and tech-nique in recent years.
