Rediscovery of the inscription EE IX, 315 of Marchamalo (Guadalajara, Spain)

The recent appearance of a Roman epigraph found in 1840 in Marchamalo allows a new interpretation. So far this inscription readings depended on the one made in 1900 by F. Fita and based on the letters of his informants and its subsequent reinterpretation. The comparison of both of them allows us to highlight some aspects of the Jesuit’s methodology.Downloads
