Couples therapy within the framework of emotional intelligence

Emotional Intelligence is considered in this article as an appropiate resort to facilitate a richer and satisfactory way to attaint a level of better relationships in the marital life. The self knowledge and emotional regulation are the basis for coping easier with different conflicts between members of a couple. This approach assumes that every member of a married couple has different personal abilities that can be applied to overcome these conflicts, although they are unaware, in order to improve their relationships.
