El Impacto de las Pantallas en el Aprendizaje: ¿Aliados o Enemigos?

Resumen

El uso excesivo de dispositivos con pantallas, como teléfonos inteligentes, tabletas y computadoras, tiene múltiples impactos negativos. En términos de salud física, se ha relacionado con problemas como dolor de cuello y espalda debido a la postura encorvada, fatiga visual y problemas de sueño por la luz azul que emiten las pantallas. Además, el tiempo sedentario frente a las pantallas puede aumentar el riesgo de obesidad y enfermedades cardiovasculares. La salud mental, el uso excesivo de dispositivos con pantallas se vincula con un mayor riesgo de ansiedad, depresión y otros trastornos del estado de ánimo, especialmente en adolescentes y jóvenes, y puede derivar en comportamientos adictivos. La socialización también se ve afectada, ya que el tiempo dedicado a las pantallas puede reemplazar las interacciones cara a cara y disminuir las habilidades de comunicación interpersonal, llevando a una sensación de aislamiento. El rendimiento educativo contribuye al empobrecimiento del lenguaje.
