Abstract

Krug's Clinical Analysis Questionnaire “CAQ” (Krug, 1980) was designed to analyze pathological behaviors to complement the source traits of personality offered by Cattell's 16PF. Very few clinical studies using CAQ have been made in Spain. The aim of this study was to analyze the internal consistency and the discriminant power of the CAQ in a clinical population. The CAQ was administered to 250 psychopathological subjects, aged 18 to 65, classified according to the DSMIII- R criteria and organized in four groups. The patients were obtained from Psychiatric Department of St. Pau Hospital in Barcelona. The median alpha coefficient is satisfactory and the discriminant power found is moderate.
