El editor de textos ante el reto digital: elogio de la edición 2.0

Este artículo reflexiona y defiende la importancia del editor en el siglo XXI. Para ello, traza un recorrido desde el Lachmann hasta a la actualidad, de la edición científica de textos clásicos a la de textos nacidos de la oralidad o de la escritura medieval hasta la edición de textos digitales realizada con herramientas digitales. Se plantea qué es el texto digital y sus similitudes y diferencias con el texto escrito y oral así como las implicaciones que esto tiene a la hora de hacer una edición crítica. Por último, establece los principios que deberán guiar el desarrollo de ediciones digitales. Apuesta por un modelo que conjugue los tres niveles del texto (facsímil, transcripción y texto crítico), hipertextual y que permita incluir y recuperar un alto grado de información.
