Jurisprudential trends healthy environment in the Colombian Constitutional Court

Abstract

The right to a healthy environment plays an important role in the wellbeing of the community, not only at a national but an international level. The humanity, in its excessive desire for industrialization, has sacrificed this fundamental common good to all living creatures. Instead of care for it and protect it, it has being degraded to the point of destroying valuable ecosystems. Hence the need for this study, which aims to assess the mechanisms of protection and jurisprudential trends of the Colombian Constitutional Court with regard to a healthy environmental.
