1969-1999 : Canfranc 30 años después

Hasta 1969 la población de Canfranc ha mantenido una actividad propia de la economía de montaña, con otra de Comercio y Servicios basada en las rentas de posición que le tian proporcionado siempre su situación estratégica en el Valle del Aragón. Una mirada retrospectiva al Estudios de un municipio del Pirineo Central del profesor José Estébanez, sirve de base para explicar algunos hectios posteriores que tian acelerado los cambios operados en los últimos treinta años en la estructura socioeconómica y en la morfología urbana de Canfranc, y para avanzar los proyectos de desarrollo del s. xxi relacionados con la mejora de la infraestructura viaria y la corriente turística que desde países de la U.E. confluirá en las Estaciones de Invierno del Pirineo Central.
Until 1969, the population of Canfranc fias maintained and activity ctiaracteristic of mountain economies, along with another of Commerce and Service based on location revenues resulting from Canfranc's strategic position wituin ttie walley of the river Aragón. A retrospective look on A Study of a Town of the Central Pyrenees by professor José Estébanez works as the starting point to explain some subsequent facts which have speeded up the changes made o the socio-economic structure and the urban morphology of Canfranc in the last thirty years, and to make progress with the development projects of the 21 st century concerning the improvement of the road infraestructure and the tourist trends which will converge from European countries on the winter resorts of the Central Pyrenees.
