DEL SIGNO A LA SEMIÓTICA. LA SEDUCCIÓN DE LOS PIES FEMENINOS

FROM THE SIGN TO SEMIOTICS. THE SEDUCTION OF FEMALE FEET

Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo es indagar acerca de los pies femeninos como un signo en la semiótica y explorar la convergencia de las ideas semióticas en la seducción corporal. Partiendo del concepto del cuerpo de Mary Douglas y de las nociones de seducción de Jean Baudrillard y George Bataille, se observa la seducción a través de los pies femeninos en el óleo Les hasards heureux de l’escarpolette de Jean-Honoré Fragonard y en la obra erótica Jin Ping Mei. Se estudian el origen, el sentido y la connotación de los pies diminutos en el juego de la seducción. Posteriormente, a través de un análisis estadístico de los episodios vinculados a los pies en la obra erótica china, se desvelan las estrategias de seducción que emplean este signo y sus derivados. De esta forma, el estudio pretende contribuir al desarrollo de la dimensión de la semiótica de la seducción.

Abstract: The objective of this article is to investigate female feet as a sign in semiotics and explore the convergence of semiotic ideas in seduction. Starting from the concept of the body of Mary Douglas and the notions of seduction of Jean Baudrillard and George Bataille, the seduction is observed through female feet in the oil painting Les hasards heureux de l’escarpolette by Jean-Honoré Fragonard and in the work Jin Ping Mei. The origin, meaning and connotation of tiny feet in the game of seduction are studied. Subsequently, through a statistical analysis of the episodes linked to the feet in the erotic work, the seduction strategies used by this sign and its derivatives are revealed. Therefore, the study aims to contribute to the development of the semiotics dimension of seduction.
