DEL NEORRURALISMO A LAS LITERATURAS DE LA RURALIDAD. DEBATE TERMINOLÓGICO Y PROPUESTA DE CATEGORIZACIÓN SOBRE UNA TENDENCIA EN AUGE

FROM NEORRURALISM TO LITERATURES OF RURALITY: TERMINOLOGICAL DEBATE AND LABELING PROPOSAL OF A RISING TREND

Resumen

El campo literario español contemporáneo ha asistido al auge de una tendencia que ha recibido el nombre de neorruralismo. Aunque un estudio en profundidad del fenómeno nos muestra la existencia de un heterogéneo conjunto de obras que manifiestan diferentes concepciones de lo rural, desde la crítica se ha utilizado el referido marbete, cuyo origen se remonta a los estudios sociológicos franceses y estadounidenses de los años sesenta y setenta y que, en España, fue tomado directamente de reseñas y textos de la prensa periodística. Tras un análisis inicial sobre los pormenores del etiquetado como proceso mercantilizador, planteamos la problematización del término, muy restrictivos por motivos textuales y extratextuales, y proponemos el uso de del concepto literaturas de la ruralidad, que permite acoger un cada vez más numeroso volumen de textos. Bajo este nuevo abrigo teórico, ofrecemos un intento de categorización de las mismas a partir de varios acercamientos críticos.

Abstract: The contemporary Spanish literary field has witnessed the rise of a narrative trend that has been called neoruralism, whose main characteristic is the location of fictions in rural areas. Although an in-depth study of the phenomenon shows us the existence of a heterogeneous set of works that express different conceptions of the rural, critics have used the aforementioned label, whose origin dates back to French and American sociological studies of the sixties. and seventy and that was taken directly from the reviews and articles of the journalistic press. In this article, and after an initial analysis of the details of labeling as a commodifying process, we consider the problematization of the term, which is very restrictive for textual and extratextual reasons, and we propose the use of the concept of rural literature, which allows us to embrace each increasingly numerous volumes of texts. Finally, we propose a categorization of them based on several critical approaches.
